降解系列 | Degradation
世间万物均有形成、生长、成熟和消亡的过程，而物质产生于能量，消亡于降解 ——这是一个由生到死的过程。
Emergence, growth, completion, and decease are destinated processes of all. Materials are given birth from energy and degrade after their decease. This is the process from birth to death.
但降解并非寂灭，只是一个过程的完结和另一个过程的开始。
Yet degradation is not necessarily oblivion. It is the end of one process and the start of another.
生命的过程如是，文化的过程亦如是。
Life is such, and so is culture.
降解系列意在表现这样一个降解和重生的过程。东方古老文明和中国传统文化在国际化和西化的大潮中的沉沦、挣扎和蜕变的意象。
The degradation series is meant to present this process of degradation and rebirth, an image of suffering, struggling, and evolving of the ancient Eastern civilization and traditional Chinese culture in the tide of Westernization.
中国山水 | Chinese Landscape
作为降解系列的一部分，这些抽象的风景描绘了中国的风土、人文、地貌在外来文化冲击下的现代化进程中的痛苦蜕变，意图寻找精神性、诗性与物欲和商业化的对白，以及此两种对立意象的契合。
As part of the degradation series, these abstract landscapes dedicates to the painful disintegration of China’s culture, customs, and landscape during the country’s modernization process under the impact of foreign culture. The artist intended to create a dialogue between spirit/poetry and materialism/commercialism and to seek the correspondence between these two contradictory images.
